Lessons
**High Standards Stables Currently has a waitlist for lessons. Please email info@highstandardsstables.com with your name, phone number, availability, and a brief description of your prior riding experience if you’d like to get on the waitlist. You will be contacted when a spot becomes available.***
High Standards Stables offers hunter/jumper lessons to riders ages 7 and up, from first time riders, to those who just want to ride for fun, and those who’d like to horse show. Our goal is to provide a positive, inclusive, family friendly atmosphere that facilitates learning both on and off the horse. A good foundation, and well-rounded education in riding and horse care is of utmost importance here at HSS.
All riders with no prior experience start with private riding lessons to learn the basics of horsemanship. In addition to the basics of riding, this includes learning to tack up, and take care of your horse properly after riding. Once a rider has the basics down, group and semi-private lessons can be available on a very limited basis. *Please note: Due to COVID we are currently running private lessons only.*
When you begin riding as HSS, you may pay for your first two lessons individually to make sure that the program is a good fit. After your first two lessons, you must pay monthly or purchase a lesson package. All monthly lessons and packages must be prepaid at the start of the month or package to secure your spot.
Pricing
One-time lesson on school horse: $60
Monthly Lessons With School Horse:
Lesson Rate 4 Week Month 5 Week Month Rolling Package
$55 $220 $275 $605
*Rolling packages are for riders taking 2 or more lessons per week. You pay the cost of 11 lessons and get the 12th Free!
Lessons and Training for Those With Their Own Horses
One time lesson or training ride: $55
If you own or lease your own horse, several lesson and training packages are available.
Monthly Lessons:
Lesson rate 4 Week Month 5 Week month
$50 $200 $250
Lesson and Training Packages
Full Training: $900
22 rides or lessons per month. This averages out to about five rides/lessons per week.
Partial Training: $600
14 rides or lessons per month. This averages out to about 3 lessons/rides per week.
Rolling Package: $550
You must be receiving at least 2 lessons or training rides per week to purchase a rolling package.
